![]() Now the Kamikaze collection has released a redesigned formula that encourages water to bead even more to provide their best overcoating for ceramic coatings. I use their tire shine, interior coatings, glass, and Gwash.Kamikaze Collection's Over Coat v4 was groundbreaking in its ability to combat the problem of water stains that ceramic coatings are normally prone to. Have done a several cars with this as people are amazed what it does for a car. When I'm done, I take the nozzle off, and sheet the car almost completely dry. Easy to keep car clean, and when I wash, it's hard to get the car wet, the water just rolls off. Maybe 2.5hrs once the car was prepped for the coating start to finish. I got a 50ml bottle and did the entire car in 2 coats as recommended.do the whole car once, then do again, and had enough I did all the door edges, under the hood and the whole engine compartment(engine cover, and painted surfaces), around trunk. 2 removal clothes did the whole car with 2 coats. I started using a MF applicator, seems to go on more consistent IMO, and removal is easy, just wipe off. Thank you GTechniq.Īmazing products.I've used 22ple which I love, but this great for a new car detail because you can use this on everything.i used the G1 on the glass, but when I got my charger, I put this on everything as recommended by Gtechniq.paint, plastic trim, wheels, exhaust tips. I will recommend to my customers that this money spent is well worth it. Maybe other coatings out there are just as good but I am highly satisfied. With that kind of care, I see no reason why this coating won't last the advertised 2 years, or, perhaps longer. ![]() I drive my cars less than 6K/yr and they stay in a garage, and I wash carefully. I hosed down the cars after 24 hours and even on the mostly flat surfaces, the water seemed to be repelled better than anything I've used before. I would have only need purchase the one 50ML bottle and I still would have had plenty left over. I can now use the rest on customer car(s). I used all of the small bottle doing both cars and a few drops from the second larger bottle. I also bought a large 50ML one to do my 2013 GL 550. I bought the small 30ML bottle to do my 2001 BMW 530i. That said, this product is very glossy and slick to the touch easy to apply and almost mistake proof in the application. Tons of exclamation points and "never seen anything like it" are overlooked. New GTechniq fan!ĭon't look for an "over the top" review here. When the customer left, it was raining, and it had VERY tight, perfect beads. After it cured, I did the water test, and wow! After pouring a gallon of water down the hood, I was able to count 9 beads that remained on the hood itself. I used CarPro's CQuartz applicator and a suede cloth for application based on other suggestions, and I'm glad I did - I feel I can be much more precise than with the round applicator they provide, but that's just me. I was able to get two coats on the paint AND glass of a GTI with half the bottle, and I purposely went heavier on the second coat! The application is very easy, although tedious (I like to be as precise as possible). I just applied EXO V3 to a customer's vehicle based on all the great reviews, and I absolutely love the product. I put CQuartz UK on my personal vehicle last year - the gloss was great, as well as the hydrophobic properties, but after winter it seemed gone. I am using CSL again for my wife's car, I will not be using EXO with it.įantastic stuff. Save arm and shoulders day for the gym, not for EXO. CSL is an easy to apply "prosumer" product, EXO is not. Perhaps exo doesn't like the paint on my car, but I followed the install procedure to the letter. After some heavy elbow grease with an MF1 it would go away, but it should never be that difficult. Under normal lighting conditions in my garage EXO looked perfect, but when going over it with a high intensity light to ensure all residue was buffed away I noticed a haze on the application area. I don't recommend EXO v4 because it was a pain to buff out. EXO was applied indoors in my garage, I used panel wipe after buffing and cleaning, and the product was applied in the same temp parameters as CSL the same day as CSL was applied. I used both on my black 2013 Mustang GT as the original coating was getting near EOY, and the prep work was extremely thorough (2 stage buffing with my pc utilizing lake country pads, M105, and M205 polishes). I recommend that you use CSL on its own as it is a better product, easier to use, and almost the same price as EXO. I used EXO v4 with Gtechniq's Crystal Light Serum (CSL), and while I am very impressed with the results I just cannot recommend EXO v4.
